BTS: Moonrise Mindset Design
Welcome to the post where I share some BTS of our brand design and brag about Mel Matheson for a bit.
Mel and I first crossed paths at an OC-based swimwear brand, where I quickly realized what a gem she is. I admired her talent for graphic design, open-mindedness, and ability to constantly come up with the most creative, playful, and on-brand ideas.
After I moved on, I hoped our paths would cross again. I never imagined it would be for something I was building.
If you take anything away from this, it should be to manifest your dream collabs with your dream partners because Mel truly brought this to life better than I could have ever imagined.
That was me manifesting this three years prior, via a LinkedIn recommendation.
Mel didn’t hold anything back. She took my brain dump of an inspo deck and ran with it, generating some seriously magical logo options:
Over three months, two countries, & four rounds of feedback + edits, we went from inspo mood board to logo, color, and icon-ready.
I asked Mel to help me sharpen up the brand pyramid I made for myself to have a clear vision for Moonrise Mindset.
What I received in return inspired a whole new level of my mission.
Like, this is ART ! I asked for a TRIANGLE that I could paste my words onto and she illustrated something that anchors me in my intention.
There truly aren’t enough words to convey my awe and gratitude for Mel’s design work on Moonrise Mindset.
She captured the hope, energy, and excitement flawlessly.
I couldn’t be happier with the outcome and love using my logo and design assets wherever I can.
Makes me really proud of the work I’m doing and putting it out into the world.
Can’t wait until I have an excuse to loop her in again to design the next phase of Moonrise Mindset.
