Speaking My Own Love Language to Myself

I appreciate awareness of love languages in all relationships - romantic, platonic, familial, friendships, etc. One that often gets left out of the conversation though, is the relationship we have with ourselves (the most important relationship), and how speaking our own love language to ourselves can be so impactful.

PS-

If you don’t know your love language, or want to know someone else’s, the quiz to find out is here.

So, what does it sound, look, and feel like to talk to yourself in your own love language?

My primary love language is words of affirmation and cultivating the practice of reading, writing, and journaling with affirmations has completely transformed how I talk to myself over the years.

It’s truly been life changing in so many ways that have rippled beyond my relationship with myself.
